Our easy-to-use app allows farmers to scan their trees and collect accurate, verified data on each tree's carbon storage. This brings much-needed trust and transparency to the nascent carbon market.

The TREEO app is a digital tool that allows small farmers to plant trees in agroforestry systems, calculate their value and obtain best practice recommendations for agroforestry plantations. The app works on simple, affordable and older smartphones. It allows 100% offline use, including field and tree monitoring, timber value estimation and training material. Today, the TREEO app supports agricultFortune Tigerores in three use cases:

* Land surveys

With the land survey component, small farmers can map their land. By doing so, they can link surveyed trees to an area to establish the traceability and origin of the trees. Associated Tree Planting Initiatives (TPIs) can verify that the area meets our regulations for eligible land (e.g. robust land ownership, land status, location, soil quality).

* Tree scanning

The farmer takes a photo of the tree. Through image analysis, the TREEO algorithm measures the diameter, documents it in a file, and assigns it to a specific terrain. With each measurement, the GPS location is stored to confirm that the tree is on that lot. With automatic measurement calibrated with the TREEO card, the volume of wood, the CO2 removed from the atmosphere and the prices of each tree and entire plots are calculated.

* Guidance and training material for farmers

TREEO provides a work plan for farmers with due dates and training material. To-do lists and audio guides help farmers during all activities. This helps farmers implement best practices and get the best benefits from their trees.
